1. Terms

A lesson that is delivered via video conferencing online by our teachers will be referred to as a Live Lesson. This can be delivered one to one or in group of 3-5 students.

Lessons that are delivered offline via pre-recorded video tutorials will be referred to as a Pre-recorded Course. This is a series of videos that can be streamed on demand so that the child can learn at their own pace. The terms for this course are laid out in section 13.

codecate.io will be refereed to as the Site.

This document is the Terms of Service, also referred to as the Agreement.

2. Notice of agreement

By accessing and using this service, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. This Agreement was last modified on 3 Feb 2023.

3. Website Owner

This website is owned and operated by Mihai Traista. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers online coding lessons for children age 6-14 as well as pre-recorded courses that can be streamed on demand. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

4. Who can use this website

The services offered on this website should only be booked by parents or legal guardians. The students will never be required to book a service or pay a fee and children should not do so without parent's approval.

5. Privacy Policy

1. When purchasing one of our courses or lessons, we retain the following information

• User email address

• User full name

• User login/logout history

2. Information we DO NOT hold:

Customer Credit Card Details (including street/billing address). All payments are processed through Stripe, a secure third party payment gateway services, encrypted using the latest technologies. You can learn more about security at Stripe here. We do not have access to any of these details at any stage of customer transactions.

3. We will not ask the child for any personal information other that that provided by the parent.

4. Our customers' personal data is NEVER:

• Sold to third parties for marketing or any other purposes

• Shared with other organisations or anyone outside of Codecate

Once you delete your account, all data associated with it will be deleter, including your progress and past quizzes.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Codecate and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
